Psychedelic Direct

Climb up beautiful white granite uncharacteristic of other East Wall routes past 4 bolts to the anchors. There are long runnouts between bolts and this route should not be thought of as any kind of "sport route". However the crux, as well as all moves approaching the "crux" grade also have a bolt just below. The climbing through the runnouts, though steep, is filled with positive holds, solid rock and aggressive friction. Some gear can be found to supplement the bolts, but very little.

This route is located about 15ft left of the start of Psychedelic Tree. The belay is at a two bolt anchor equipped with rappel rings. Two 60m ropes are required to rappel. You can continue up a short distance to finish on the roofs of Psychedelic Tree.
