Description

This is now a fully-equipped sport route (bolted with permission from the first ascent party) with 10 bolts and a 2-bolt anchor. Climb starts below a giant, dead pine tree and follows an obvious corner and crack system straight to the tree. This was originally a well-protected, but slightly chossy trad lead. The middle section of the climb is slightly overhung, and the crux includes an exhilarating step across the gap between two walls. Also take note: the rock in this section of the cliff tends to be fragile, so be extra cautious and be sure your belayer wears a helmet.

Location

Just left of Pontius Pilot, you'll see a broken crack system leading straight up to a giant, dead pine tree. This route is 300 ft or so left of the Parking Lot Area.

Protection

The route now has 10 bolts and a 2-bolt anchor. It can also be well protected with an assortment of small to large cams and tricams. A couple of long slings will prevent rope drag through the overhanging section.
