Nira Rock

Nira Rock Urban Wild is a old area in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. It is managed by a non-profit group called Friends of Nira Rock and is free and open to the public. It is a puddingstone face with a variety of features and textures. There are currently two bolted anchors for toprope routes and one set of bolts on the main face for sport climbing. Additional rope climbing exists but requires more creative anchors. There are a number of boulder problems documented with the potential for more. It is an urban park, so beware of broken glass in and around the rocks.
