Description

[Edit]

*Note: We are currently cleaning this wall section. Please announce yourself while hiking and be aware of trail signs, posted warnings, and always wear a helmet.Cryptic Wall: This vertical white face has some variety in difficulty. The Cryptic Wall bolted lines are just south (Left) of the Bee Hive (Lilly Wall) and require a couple steps up, along the lower trail, to access base of the routes. The right side of the wall starts with an obvious left-facing dihedral which is bound to be a classic. The reddish hue of the rock face fades to white as you look left. The left side of the  wall section is bordered by the 3 Hour Tour Buttress.

Routes range from 60 ft to 75 ft tall and currently provide a slight range of difficulty levels (range from 5.7 to 5.11). Work in progress.

Ratings:

Currently 5.8 - 5.11 are offered with the range of line difficulties along this wall section. While easier climbs are given a rating number representing the climb to be no harder than the rating represented, routes rated 5.10 and up are given a specific max crux rating. This should help you plan your visit and navigate your way along the bluff while using Mountain Project.
