Overhanging face with some good moves utilizing sidepulls on thin flakes. The climb is a bit of a one-move wonder; most of the climbing is 10ish with one move in 5.11 grade.

Don't be fooled by the diminutive name, this route is a full meal without the chips and salsa.    Steep and pumpy climbing on good holds leads to the ledge then slightly left to the NORTHeast face for steeper pumpier climbing on bigger holds.   

  Let it be noted that Dave Merin led this climb on gear the day I top roped it to see if it was worth bolting.  He put long slings on the last piece where you could bail to the ledge left, then went out on the face where I climbed on top rope and did the moves.  A fall here would have been nasty.  He then climbed the crack that forms the arete of the upper head wall.  I bolted the line farther left on the steepest part of the head wall. The crack he led yielded scant and marginal gear in marginal rock.  He said he didn't think any of it would have held a fall. In fact had he fallen up high he would not be around to read this description.   

  I chose to bolt a fun and safe route up a tower with several fun and safe routes.  Rather than let Dave's very bold lead be the end of it.  Dave did say he thought that it would be fine. Of course I did have a fully charged Bosche will a new bit up against his temple when he agreed.

Shares start with "Lost and Undecided" then trend right to thinner cracks. Belay from above on chains for "Lost Era" then rap from these chains down that route. That side of the pinnacle is shorter, about 95 feet.

From Dog Daze the arete and face around the corner are tantalizing.  Doug Daze fulfills the fantasy of climbing this natural line, ascending the low-angle face of this mini-pinnacle.  Unfortunately the route is too short, too mild, and too inconsistent.  It would have been better left a fantasy. 

  Despite the guidebook rating of 5.10, both Dog Daze and Chihuahua Power felt harder.  I personally would rate this route 5.8.

On the Southeast (lowest) side of the tower is a hand crack that starts about a third of the way up. Head for this. Jam the crack or pull the jugs, your choice, for the offwidth to the top. Bolted anchor at the top; rap down the back side (uphill side) toward Chihuahua Chimichanga and Hennig's Blunder.

An obvious line up the pretty right side of the highest pinnacle in the area (to the right of Puppy Chow).  Solid face climbing with some nice exposure.  The route is pretty sustained throughout though the crux seemed to be just before the last bolt.

Bolted arete on West side of tower (closest side to Rollinstone).  Friction and crimps.

If you are out at Lost Hawk to climb Puppy Chow (5.8) and Chihuahua Power (5.9), which are the best climbs there, you might as well do this as well to mix it up a little bit.  If you are facing the above mentioned climbs Dog Daze is a short overhanging face with bolts behind and to the right just a little ways.

This is on the south face of Lost Hawk, on the opposite side from Chihuahua power.  The easiest approach is around to the east.  Climb an obvious large dihedral, lieback and stem your way to a big not so stable looking block. Go around the block and up face with a single bolt to chains at the top of the formation.  Watch out for loose flakes.

Beautiful Pinnacle with a 5 minute approach.  The Must-Do climbs are: Chihuahua Power 5.9**, Puppy Chow 5.8**, and Lost and Undecided 5.7**.
