This is a great route with a surprise start.  I thought it would be strictly a face route viewing from the approach path but there are several good hard moves inching up the crack to reach the second bolt.  Once clipped to the second bolt, the route moves onto the face on small but secure holds.  Clipping the third bolt is a bit nervy but not too bad.  Up the face to the overhang where you will be glad to get in some trad gear.  A fun, not so obvious move gets you on top of the block and then one more move lands you on top.  All in all a great route, and for us, a great way to end the day!

A very nice, sustained, thin-face route. Well protected.

Crank a couple of moves on nice jugs that set you up for a strenuous first clip. Thin edging and smearing leads to a surprise "thank god" jug and a well-earned rest. Clip the third bolt and dance through the crimpy crux sequence. The difficulty backs off just past the fourth bolt, though you don't ever really get that top-out jug you are hoping for. Easy terrain leads to one more 5.9ish move just below the anchors (protected by the fifth bolt).

Climb the face just left of "Chimps" past a 5.10a crux. The crux of the route (5.10c) is a prominent roof just below the chains involving a lunge and a heel hook.

One bolt about 10 feet up, two closely spaced bolts at a big roof about 40 feet up, two-bolt anchor.

Clip the 1st bolt from the ground, low .10 moves to 2nd clip, easy climbing to 3rd bolt on razor sharp sandy jugs, 4th bolt is hard to see but right above the bulge. The crux is getting to the anchor (in my opinion), left from the 4th bolt is easier ground (mantle) or right with a few slopers (crux).

A fun moderate on nice rock. While the moves are probably on the easy side of 5.9 (at least if you are taller), this route might be a bit unnerving for a leader at their limit due to the high first bolt.

Climb unprotected 5.6 slab for ten feet to a ledge. Ten more feet of easier slabbing gets you to the first bolt. Find the good holds and pull yourself over the well-protected roof (crux?). More easy slabbing leads to harder moves at two more roofs, with a bolt protecting each.

Bold 5.10- moves get you to an uncomfortably high first bolt (be careful!). Easier climbing leads to the base of an intimidating roof. Clip a well-placed bolt and crank over the huge roof on some signature Castle Rock "sloping jugs" (crux).  Finish with 30 feet of easy slabbing, passing two bolt-protected 5.8/5.9 roofs (shared with "Chimps in Negligee").

Inventive climbing and use of the arete are key to finding your way up this route's obvious early crux. Do it!

Edit- Traverse onto the *lowest* part of the face once standing in the crack; therein, forgo use of the opposing wall.
