This route is very well bolted and is a good climb for a new leader or those who are height challenged. Thin, delicate climbing starts the route but the crux is pulling the roof.  Fun!

This is named for the precipitous thunder boomers that typically roll in on summer afternoons in July and August.  The rain held off long enough for the ascent but not long enough to soak us on our short hike out.  Wet dogs smell like, well, wet dogs in the back of your buddies car :). .  Place some questionable gear before pulling through the roof onto the delicate face.  Dainty moves and a step to the left deposit you at the anchors for

Practice Run

Follow the 2nd bolt line from the right.  Short cruxes are encountered at the overhangs which are easier if tall (still fun for the small though).  Head up the face aiming for the center of a small arch.  The yellow lichen bulge is the first difficulty, then pull over the arch onto really cool chicken heads, and head up and slightly right to a shared anchor.  Clipping the anchor is probably the real crux, since everything is a little sloping and insecure (compared to all the in-cut holds to which you are now accustomed)....

Follow broken blocks to the left of "

" and up to the overhang above.  Climb through the first weakness left of the bolt line on small crimps to the anchors of "

Too Much...

."

This starts just to the left of a big tree at the base.  The face is well-featured with holds and the bolts lead to a stance on a sloping ledge below a roof.  Turning the roof is the crux and involves a long reach.

.  Climb up through two small roofs with the crux at the second roof. The rock is well featured and the climbing is mostly easier than 5.9 with a short crux.

.  The crux is the roof, but it is turned on monster handlebar holds.  You can kick your feet loose here for fun.  The rock above the roof is well featured with "alligator skin" holds, and the climbing here is super fun.
