West Ridge

Description

Great views and semi ok rock to a great summit with fine views.

Fairly straightforward approach leads to the west ridge scramble.  Difficulties passed by traversing north.

Take care as there's some loose, stacked rock on this route.

Location

From the upper south fork of Cascade Canyon, or, Avalanche Canyon, get to the saddle above Snowfield Lake between the Wall and the South Teton.

The broad ridge above the saddle is the West Ridge.

Protection

Usually soloed.
