Description

Four Hits in a Row climbs up the middle of the main Expedition Buttress Wall, seen from the pullout after the bridge, just climber's left of the large slabs on the right side of the wall.

Pitch 1 follows a a dihedral to a large roof and ledge.

Pitch two traverses the ledge climber's right to the base of an obvious, open book dihedral with a hand crack in the back.

Pitch 3 follow the dihedral on good hand jams up to a ledge with a small pine tree.

Pitch 4/5 moves up non-descript terrain above the tree on slabs and crack systems. On the final slab section, both the right and left cracks are viable routes to the top.

Location

Begin in a vague dihedral left of several prominent roofs on the left-central portion of the main buttress wall seen from the parking lot. There is one small tree in the middle of the buttress (just left of the large slabs on the right side) that marks the finish of the third pitch. A large roof and ledge can be seen below and just left of the tree, this is the 2nd pitch traverse ledge. The first pitch is the dihedral that meets the climber's left side of this roof/ledge.

Hike down and around into the boulderfield that comes out below the buttress and between it and the creek by the bridge.

Protection

A standard rack with maybe doubles in #0.75-#2.
