Konnarock Slab

Located on the Konnarock Block:

Konnarock is a small mountain community just outside of GHSP that offers a gateway to not only GHSP, but also to the MRNRA, the Lewis Fork wilderness, and a couple smaller bouldering areas that are in the process of being developed... Don't forget to stop by Jerry's Kitchen to eat some good homestyle cooking while you out there...

The Konnarock boulder is just a few feet up the hill and to the right of the "Sever Boulder and Block" and you will find this problem to be the very first and proudest line on the boulder, and it scales up the blunt arete... Despite the name, the Konnarock Block is a full sized boulder, not a smaller "block" as it's title may suggest, but block rhymes nicely with Konnarock so I went with it. Here's the beta...

Walk up past the blunt arete with the "Konnarock (stand/sit)" going up it, and stop at the large Yellow Birch tree that is growing close to the boulder. just before it you will find a nice slab line that scales directly up the side of the boulder. Stand start on whatever's clever and delicately pull on the small nubbins that give way to better holds which allow you to gain the top ledge for the top out. Super fun!

Walk off to the left past the nice sized Yellow Birch.
