Make several moves up the granite face until you get to a finger-hand crack. Climb the crack until you top out. There is no good place for a crash pad, so a fall will probably send you down the mountain or at least into a cactus.

Go up Pinecreek Canyon (after gaining permission from the land owners) before you actually enter the canyon, look to the right up the side of the canyon for a pile of large white granno-diorite boulders about three quarters of the way up the edge.

A spotter to stop you from rolling down the hill. Crash pads won't save you here. Don't fall
