Relaxation of Tensions

Description

The cracks on the right (west-facing) wall of the recess near the outside corner can be climbed directly to the top. There is some vegetation growing out of the crack which makes for a few fun bushwhacky moves. Good variety of moves, from smearing on slabs to fist-jamming cracks. Great views from the top, but walk back 20-30ft to setup anchor and WATCH FOR LOOSE ROCK!

Location

After descending into the gully from the blue trail, head right towards Winter Wall. Keep walking past the big detached flake (The Pinch 5.7) for about 20 yards. You will see a recessed section of the wall, with the left-facing wall (west-facing) wall being at a lower angle. Follow the crack on the right side of this low angle wall to the top.

Protection

Sets of stoppers, cams up to #3
