Description
Climb underneath the roof about 12 feet off the ground, eventually overcoming the roof ssing a finger crack leading above it (the crux). Follow the crack to the large ledge about 25 feet up and finish the climb straight up.
A classic for the area and a favorite for climbers looking to break into the hard 5.8s and into 5.9s. Also a great option for climbers with little to no overhang experience as the roof is relatively easy to circumvent compared to those in higher difficulty classes.
Location
The climb is spotted easily by finding the finger crack above the ~3 foot roof and tracing it to the ground. About 10 feet up on the left (right before the roof) is a right-facing square block that marks the left-most side of the climb.
The start is anywhere from the left side (directly beneath the climb) to the right side (same start as "Your Girl") of Rattlesnake's main face. Starting directly beneath the climb (on the left) requires more brute strength, while starting near the dihedral on "Your Girl" (on the right) and climbing left into the climb requires more technique.
Protection
Fairly easy TR setup at the top. Long slings always helpful.
