MapDescription
Gerry Roach indicates that access is off the 1st/2nd Flatiron Trail a couple of switchbacks uphill from the base of the First Flatiron.
If you are willing to put up with lichen, you can add some disconnected lichen-encrusted slabs that are part of the same spine, which start just above the trail, a mere 30 feet uphill from the First Flatiron turnoff. IMO. it's a judgment call as to whether the extra hillside erosion is worth the extra 100 feet of "rock".
The main slab is 100-150 feet long. If you include all the minor slabs above and below the main rock, this route is maybe 300 feet, including hiking.
Descent: walk/scramble off the main slab to the southwest. The smaller pieces all merge into the hillside at the top.
Protection
None.
