Rattlesnake Crack

FA Tom Howard, Bruce Meneghin 1977

UPDATED

Description

One pitch, a beautiful crack with two fairly distinct crux sections pulling through roofs, this line is blatantly obvious when it is in front of you.

Trad anchor is fairly easy to set up top with good options for placements.  Rap off the pine trees or do some bush whack climbing to gain the “lost trail ledge” an off shoot of the amp rim trail

Location

As you come down the descent gully into the amp, cut skiier’s left passing SD modiano on fairly level ground, go down hill a little and you will easily locate this climb

Protection

You couldn’t ask for better placements, this crack loves .75, #1, and #2 cams, you can easily set an anchor at the top on smaller cams .2,.3,.4 and others.
