Strawberries Can't Jump

Description

Stick clip the first bolt and make a committing leap to the jug rail from the protruding rock or maybe the base of the wave feature. Get flexy and pull a few hard moves to get established on the flakes above (crux). Follow the left-trending bolt line through fun flakes and hidden holds up to a small ledge (5.10). Finish up on easy but dirty terrain.

The first move might be a heartbreaker if you're shorter or can't jump. It's worth pulling up to the rail to try what's above. By pulling on the first draw this can also be climbed at 5.10 A0.

Note: Since the FA I went back and built a launch platform to start the route. It's still a large leap but much easier now. If people don't like it, feel free to knock it over.

Location

Currently the 2nd route from the left. Look for the obvious jug rail way up high.

Protection

6 bolts + anchors with rings on top.

  • Stick clip the first bolt

  • Anchors are set up high on the ledge to avoid running over a sharp edge. TR accessible.
